Pastor Michael Morgan

Our Pastor

Pastor Michael Morgan was born and raised in Brielle, NJ.  He is the son of the late Alfreda and Jack Morgan. Pastor Morgan is the proud parent of three children: Rebecca, Anthony and Troy, and grandfather of six grandchildren. Upon graduation from Manasquan High School, he attended Ocean County College where he received his associates degree in Advance Water, and Waste Water Treatment Operations. In 1981, he was employed at Western Monmouth Utilities Authority as a Plant Operator. After intense prayer, Pastor Morgan accepted a position with the United Parcel Service (UPS) in 1986. After 27 years of service, he retired on August 30th, 2013.

Pastor Morgan's spiritual journey began at the age of 20. While attending church with his mother, he felt the need to change direction of his life and invited Jesus Christ to be his Lord and Savior. In 1997, Pastor Morgan was called to Christian Cathedral Ministries in Asbury Park, NJ under the leadership of the late Pastor Osborn Davis. For seven years, Pastor Morgan served as Youth Pastor, working with inner-city youth. In 2000, he became a Licensed Minister; soon after, he was ordained and promoted to the position of Elder in 2003.

Pastor Morgan furthered his education through the Carolina University of Theology where he graduated with a bachelors degree in Biblical Studies. He and his wife, JoAnne have celebrated over ten years of marriage and have intimately worked together in fulfilling The Great Commission. Before receiving an interim position at Shiloh Baptist Church, he pastored at the Living Water Outreach Ministries. In November 2014, Michael Morgan was ordained and installed as the pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Manasquan, NJ. Since his arrival, Pastor Morgan has increased the membership at Shiloh. His heart for serving God’s people remains consistent as he focuses on his service.

Pastor Morgan’s ministry is best accurately described in Isaiah 61:1-2 NKJV

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
